Another piece of good news for Nashik Women’s Cricket Association. Ishwari Saavkar of Nashik District Cricket Association has been selected for the Under-19 Challenger Trophy. Recently, Ishwari Saavkar was also selected for the senior women’s cricket team of Maharashtra.
Nashik: The Under-19 Challenger Trophy will be played in Jaipur from October 25 to November 7. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently held a state level women’s 50 overs ODI in Surat. While playing as the opener for the Maharashtra cricket team in this tournament, Ishwari Saavkar showed a strong batting performance. He scored 86 against Andhra and 73 against Chandigarh. On the strength of this performance, Ishwari Saavkar has been selected for the Under-19 Challenger Trophy along with Maharashtra’s senior women’s cricket team. Ishwari is currently training in Ahmedabad with Maharashtra’s senior women’s cricket team, and is now heading to Jaipur for the Challenger Trophy.
This selection has created a cheerful atmosphere in the world of cricket in Nashik. Regarding this selection, the Nashik District Cricket Association’s Chairman, Vinod Shah, and Secretary, Sameer Rakte, congratulated Ishwari Saavkar and wished her the best of luck in the future.
